Volunteer with the CVSA

The Cowichan Valley Soccer Association is a volunteer based non-profit club. The Club relies on its members to volunteer some of their time to keep the club operational, keep costs low and to meet its commitments to its players. In lieu of charging a volunteer fee, we ask all parents who are able to commit to volunteer for the Club. The Club currently has close to 100 volunteers in various roles. All volunteers are required to submit a Criminal Record Check  to the club every three years.

There are many volunteer roles within the CVSA, including (and not limited to):

Current Volunteer Opportunities

The CVSA has many exciting volunteer opportunities available at this time, including the following:

Concession Volunteers

There is always a need for more concession volunteers. All teams are given a time slot and asked to provide 2-4 parent volunteers for 1-2 hours ONCE per season to work in the concession. Parents are welcome to bring their child with them (as long as they are supervised) and students ages 13 and up are encouraged to volunteer and gain valuable work-experience skills.

The concession volunteer schedule can be viewed here. Please let your team Coach know as soon as possible if you are able to volunteer during your team’s time slot. Please email the Volunteer Coordinator (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if there are any other time slots in which you are able to volunteer or if you would like to be placed on an on-call substitution list.

Youth Referees (age 14/15) and District Referees (ages 16+) are paid volunteer positions. Referees must have successfully completed the Lower Island Soccer Association (LISA) Entry Level Referee Clinic and be a minimum of 14 years old. CVSA may provide compensation for referee training. Please contact Bill Keserich (250 748-8354) for more information.
